It would be interesting too try, but the asking price is ridiculous!

read the description, it's $132 + shipping...

sounds like a stock throttle body overbored from 45mm to 47mm, is that really enough to make a big difference?

Ops, I missed that price! The slight overbore did make a difference on my Japanese 4 cylinder motorcycles and they where roughly the same size (CC) and HP output of my Yaris. We generally found that matching bigger carbs with better intake and exhaust really made a difference.

$132 and Shipping is included!

"Your Genuine Chip Controlled Throttle can be purchased at U.S.$132.00 by us which includes your Air shipping charge to Japan."

But can it really make a difference?

When I had 1000+ CC, 4 cylinder, Japanese bikes with better intake and exhaust it did. Like most other mods you really didn't get the benefit in other part of the power band then top end.

That isn't how I'm reading this. I'm seeing that this in fact does cost a grand but they'll buy your stock throttle body for $132. Either way, don't do it.

Yeah but will we feel a 2mm difference? Doubt it will effect the Dyno that much!

That's the way I read it too.
You pay $999+28 shipping for their throttle. Send yours back to them and get $132 back ONCE they've received it. Which means you actually get $100 out of it as you paid for shipping.

When you went from 38MM to 40MM (typical smooth bore swap with velocity stacks on carbs) it did make a big difference! Of course you must also consider the weight difference between the motorcycle and the car.

Damn

There may be some slight gains, but you have to ask yourself if a few hp is worth that much cash

Yes that price is to high, plus you have to pay shipping(that should be at least free IMO) Anyway, it looks pretty legit, but you can do much more with a $1000. Email him and get some #'s. Looking at the sellers feedback they are good which shipping it. But if you go for this reason with the seller lower that god d*** price lol.

Going from 45mm to 47mm is a 9% increase of area.....should be a good power gain! I'm after economy so not for me.....but heck of a lot cheaper than turbo, not as much guts, but not much for install and wont complicate things like a turbo.
