Leather Shift Boot

Here's some pics. I've yet to attach it to the ring, but it will give you an idea of what to expect and what it'll look like....

Thanks for the pics. I guess you might be able to use the stock ring to get the leather boot up flush with the stock bezel?

That's what I'm thinking right now. I have offered to send Lightning Auto the stock boot to use as a template so they can make something up custom for all of our cars, then we sould have a complete kit. I'm thinking getting some thin metal and covering the ring to make it look a little more classy, but we'll see....

Looks great jcove.

A good visual guide for those of us who are not so fond of the rubber boot!

Personal preference. I don't have the RS, so it was an ugly plastic/rubber. The black part is real leather and it's very comfortable.

The winged shift knobs are THE most comfortable of all.

And although ugly, "ball" knobs are also super comfy.

Straight barrel or cylinder knobs look very boring, and are very uncomfortable...

BTW, nice knob jcove

LOL ... i'll agree with you again here ......

The one you had 'custom made' looks too small ... gaps on the sides look very visable from a birdseye / driver view.

Rofl.

At least he isn't saying the car is ugly. When that starts happening we know this will be turning into Nasioc.

nasioc hates rice
I hate rice
the stock one looks fine so why change it? if anything get a short shifter first and cut the stock one shorter, I have seen it done.

Personally I don't like the stock one. I'll button it up on the weekend and it'll look good, just too much on the go right now, don't have the time. Like I said personal preference. I don't like rubber boots. That was my biggest irritation when I got the car. My Alti has a nice leather and it looks good. Personally, when I get it buttoned up, I think this will look good too.

The stock shift boot/knob are butt ugly. It's the only thing in the interior that really gives it away as being a $12,000 car, imo.

Actually I think it would look good with a shorter shifter and a better knob

I just hate those knobs with a passion.

Didn't see a yaris shift boot on their website. What model did you order?

It looks super nice!
