Can someone explain me speaker jacks??
Hi all,
After many posts about my audio quality and the bass that comes out of my new jvc cs-j620x is terrible, many of you suggested to go for a new aftermarket headunit. So here I am, I am going to buy a pioneer FH-X731BT. This particular HU has 6 jacks in the back except from the regular universal plugs. After I saw the specs the 2 jacks on top are for middles, the 2 jacks in middle are for highs and the last 2 for sub. But I have never done this kind of swap in the past and I don't know how to use these jacks. There are 2 jacks for each output(look picture below). So I assume the one is negative and the other the positive? Or in every jack I plug only one speaker? If it's positive-negative, how I am gonna plug 2 speakers ? In parallel? But the HU has built in settings that I can tune each speaker alone. Meaning Front left front right etc. If it's in parallel connection how the stereo will know which speaker in particular I want to tune? I hope you understand what I am saying. Also anyone who has the wiring diagram? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Last edited by miiser; 06-06-2017 at 04:47 AM. |

Those are the preouts for connecting an amp. Not used if wiring speakers direct to HU.
