i snooped around a lil but couldnt find. does fuel pump come on?

when u turn key into run? i got a problem, car starts and runs for about 5 seconds, stumbles like it's out of fuel but i topped off friday and drove 40 miles. so i know there's fuel. it's got 20k miles on it so i know it's not the filter.

now i wanna test my fuel but the pump aint comin on when i turn to run. now every other car i know of turns on pump when key in run, for 2 seconds to prime system. but if it doesnt, i need to know.

any way, i'm going to mess with fuses and relays, i'll be back in a bit.

thanks

i gotta get it there first...and they closed, and i dont really have time to. i got 5 kids, work full time, and have about 2 hours a day to get stuff done...and that's between 9 and 11, dealership closed.

but i get your point. bad fuel isnt covered under warranty. so, i'd like to get a sample, and see if it seperates, or if it's even gas.

Have it towed to the dealer. The dealer should pay for the towing.

actually the Toyota new car warranty covers the tow and a rental during repair.

if it is bad fuel, go to the local parts store and get some iso-heet and a fuel system cleaner

best bet is to get it towed to the dealer; relays, pump, ecu, injector or electrical are all covered under the new car warranty.
