Tire Size

Does anyone know if you can put P195/60R15's on a stock yaris 15 inch rim? Mine came with P185/60 15. Will going up the extra size cause any damage to the transmission or engine?

Great thanks. Do you know if you can go up to 205's? or what the largest width is that you can put on the stock rim without really starting to mess up the tranny or engine?

205's will fit, but you should probably go down to 55 series.

My Yaris, bought used certified, actually came with 215/50-15's. An odd size but they work without any issues. So 215 is the widest you can go.

you aren't going to mess up the engine at all by adding wider tires. What you might get is the tire rubbing on tight turns, or bigger bumps. it will also effect your acceleration, mpg, and handling as well. The first two will be effected negatively, the latter could be effected positively.
