Yaris 2007 4 Door Bulb for Heat Venter Switch

The panels are out and the cover is off but where the heck is the bulb, the center AC light is ok it's just the outside light that's out.

Lots of control wires behind this, can anyone tell me how to get at this bulb without me breaking all kinds of plastic?

Once you disconnect the white plastic piece for the cable, you will see a recessed area in the center of the back of the knob. The bulb is mounted into a plastic carrier there. Just use a flat head screwdriver to release it.

I guess I disconnect the electrical connector plus the steel control cable that moves the vents?

Do I leave the big white plastic block where it is? or do I try to get this out?

The white block does have to be removed. There are a couple of slots in the black plastic that tabs of the white part snap into. Once you release them the whole cable holder is free.

So you leave all the cables attached to the white block and just inch out the white plastic block and the bulb is in there?

I would assume there are plastic tabs that need to be lifted to pull out the white block?

Once you rotate it counterclockwise to release it you will either need to tilt the control panel to get it to fall out, or reach in with a small needle nose pliers to pull it out.
