Interior Lighting Q

Hey,

Just got my BOOMing sound system installed last week, loving how it sounds.

It's got me hooked on doing a few interior things to my car, I've been looking around, and I decide to go with the neon, mounted under the dash of both seats.

I've looked at Wal-Mart and Canadian Tire. They both have the type of neon you plug into your cigarette lighter. I'm looking to hook it up to a switch that I’ll install by the "E-Brake."

My question is, "Where can I find a Neon Install Kit, with everything I’ll need to hook the neon up under my dash, and run it to a switch located by the E-Brake?"

Any help would greatly be appreciated.

Thanks

-Bill

Check out my ride on yarisowners or cardomain, I did the exact same install (think I did a how too but not sure now).

Bought my neons at princess auto, they were way cheaper than anywhere else. They were the plug in type as well but I removed the plug and wired them direct to a switch under the e-brake. Only thing to make sure is it seems neons will only run when wired in one direction (+pos & -neg).

I also dont really recommend a setup youll need shades at night to be in the car. just my opinion.

You can use cold cathodes too. Just look on ebay, computer geeks use them to light up their computers.

They are bright, and DIRT cheap too.

again, look at the pics I posted on yarisowners on neons, exactly what your suggesting without all the bullsh*t; theyre cheap, easy to install and draw negligable amounts of current.
