Replacing roof antenna. Need info on a plug.

Hi Guys. I'm installing a roof antenna on my wifes Rav4 (Vitz/Yaris compatible antenna) as the old one got ripped out in the carwash. Its never had one of these roof types before so looking for some advice.

I bought a Toyota antenna but I have no idea on where to buy this plug, or small compatible cable to join the two. Im using a standard antenna extension cable to the roof.

I am not familiar with the plug on the antenna side and have not seen these before.

I know that I can probably just cut it off and join/ re-shield the cable but would rather avoid that option

Any ideas?

Apologies I know this car is not a Vitz. But I have always received such excellent support from you lot. I tried posting this on toyotanation but got no replies. I assume the plug will be the same as a Vitz/Yaris, because the antenna was advertised to fit a Vitz/Yaris.

The Yaris/Vitz uses an amplified antenna where the amplifier is in the antenna base. That amplifier need to be fed 12 V from the head unit. If the antenna that you bought is an OEM one, then there are two additional cables that it connects to on the way to the head unit. The two intermediate cables use non-standard connectors, and then the final connector to the head unit is a standard one.

Thanks for the input scott. Im not worried about the amplifier, the one I bought does not have an amplifier, so there is only one cable. Correct me if I am wrong but the amplifier is for AM stations only?

From what I have found out so far, the plug on the left is a "Raku II" female. So I'm needing some sort of plug with a "Raku II" male connector.

It seems Im out of luck, I have searched everywhere, ebay etc ... And cant find anything. I should have checked first before buying the antenna but I assumed these plugs would be available. May just need to cut the cable and fit some standard connectors.

On ours, the amplifier is definitely for FM (I have never tuned my radio to an AM station, so I am not sure about that).
