Ive had a auto dimming mirror out of a Sequoia for almost 10 years. 100% DO IT. All it needs is a switched power source and ground.

I wonder if it's possible to install this feature on both your rear view and side view mirrors. I've seen modern cars with auto-dimming rear view mirrors, but I'm thinking side view mirrors are just as important. Especially if, let's say, you want to change lanes, but can't see any anything because of the headlight reflection of the car behind you.

Unless there's a Yaris somewhere in the world with side tinting mirrors I don't think you can do the sides too.

I got Puerto Rico spec curved left and right side mirrors and glare is no longer any issue. Plus I don't have any blind spots at all. If I can't see a vehicle in my mirrors is because it's either right beside me within my periferal vision or in front of me.

I have similar auto-dimming mirror dealer installed when new. Mine has a temperature and compass display in a small box top right corner of the mirror. Nice piece!
