OCV solenoid replacement, something's a miss
Hi folks, new guy here, I just finished replacing my VVT solenoid on my toyota vios (it's essentially a sedan yaris running on the same 2NZ-FE engine for the 2006 model) after I had my engine diagnosed following a check engine light. I managed to do it without much problem but I noticed something that I'm not so sure what to think of. After removing the VVT solenoid, I looked into the opening on the assembly and it looked to me that there's a piece of the base of the opening that has been chipped-off. It could of course be just be the way it is, i'd like to think so, but would like to hear some opinions. I've attached some images I took before replacing the new solenoid.
I'm also looking to clean the OCV filter but i'm not sure where it is on the 2NZ, anybody can please post a pic of where it is relative to the solenoid? A manual of the 2NZ would also be super useful. Car's just about to hit 110k miles on it now. It's my daily commuter and I'd like to keep it going for at least another 3-5 years. Thanks! Edit: Sorry about the large images, most forums would resize these automatically.
