One suggestion we might try is taking the cruise in reverse. It seemed last time it was more like 75 percent uphill climb and last 25 percent was downhill. Would be nice to do 75 percent downhill.

going in reverse, in my opinion was a lot more scarier...i dont know, ask ezhacker1 or advocate....seems like hugging the mountain felt safer at night than having just the cliff to hug....

If i put on my stock tires (which have more tread than my 17s) then I will probably be down~~

Alex, i think you totally belong to the Yaris forum.....you stand out from the typical Prius owner heheh

^ lol, the time difference between first and second run was 3 minutes, ~22 for the first run, and ~25 for kioshi advocate and me. I think Kioshi was taking it slow cuz we were hugging the cliff. If you watch the video, you see Advocate not taking it that close, i was taking it closer, but it was easy because i saw the line he was taking so just had to adjust.

i saw the video today in class (no internet at home still)...and i can't believe i went that slow....the reverse run had more downs BUT going up before the down coast was bad at night....i didnt know which way the road turned till i went down.....

i started taking the both lanes taking the turn....after one sharp turn i made.
I liked the video man, good job. now that we know the turns, somewhat, I'm down to take it up a notch ;)

EDIT:1st video at 1:50, advocate took that turn a bit faster, see the rear right wheel lol...props for staying in the lane!

Ahh okay i see what you guys mean. Yeah better we go the same route. Especially if there are new drivers that may be joining us next time. Driving fast on the edge of the cliff is a bit scarry

I rather hit the mountain then fly out the cliff
it was fun, our average speed was 25 mph on a 10-15 mph zone..

I wasn't seeing anything at 1:50ish in the first video.

By the way I'm down for this meet. It's too early to say if I can go for sure though. Also, Fridays are always best for me.

Thanks for getting the ball rolling for another meet so quickly Alex! I think as we get into 2010 we should do monthly meets at least!

Hey Guys,

Haha, I didn't run yo!

I just posted a date and was going to check up on again when the date gets closer. Cruise is open to anyone, and I think we'll be changing things up, I think someone wanted to go during the day?

I'll keep updating this week in regards of what may happen.

Sorry for not updating, been hella busy with school and catching up with friends coming back from colleges.

~~~
I'm thinking it looks like people are more for Friday. I'd say let's go for January 22nd.
I'm just not sure if we should do day or night, but most people are working still during the day.
Also, we'll have an optional greet and meet somewhere before hand, anyone wants to meet at some food place?
Chipotle @ Great Mall?
McCarthy Ranch?
It looks like it'll settle for the evening of the 22nd then. Is everyone cool with meeting at 9:30pm again at the supermarket?
Let me know your opinion.
Yeah if its during friday most people are working during the day. Id try to see if we can set the meeting time at 8:30 cause people usually come late anyways. Id try to look for a place that has seating for large partys if there is going to be more than 10 again.
