Where do I begin with mods!?...there's too many things to think about, so little knowledge, so little money, so many threads to read....

Hosh, This is the must get mods I recommend for the biggest difference you can FEEL.

1.Corolla TB
2.Intake
3.AxleBack exhaust (Not a custom 2 or 2.5 inch. You will lose back pressure and wont feel anything)
4.Short Shifter

Those are the cheap mods I recommend for the best Bang. You will FEEL the difference not just think it lol

Another mod which will make a dramatic difference are rims....

I am using Enkei RPF1. They only weight9.5lb eash which is WAY lighter than the stock 16lb steel rims. Many light aftermarket are around 12-13.5.

With the lighter and wider rims you get better......

Acceleration
Braking
Cornering
Suspension response

Another super easy mod is upgrading your grounding system to a large 0 guage wire connecting the negative terminal to the body. This helped my throtle response and made shifting smoother(auto trans).

even though my wheels are only 10 pounds (16x7), the weight of the rim and new tire are together heavier than my stock steelies were with their tires. I felt the difference immediately. oh wells. if they ever made a drag strip here, i'll put my stockies in the back and some slicks up front.

Uhm....No you wont because if you do that you'll lose traction in the back and you'll spin out on a drag strip.....

putting trays under the rear tires?

pfft who knows when the krp is done. is that just a race track, or is it a 1/4 mile strip?

slicks up front and stock rims in rear is a perfect set up my crx is in the 9's and wont spin out cause you can even go down to a 5 inch skinny rim in the rear and not worry about spin out but if you do use the stocks for drag racing please adjust the rear damper to max stiffness so this provides better traction for the front tire and reduce the squat effect which will cause the front to vibrate like crazy and end result is broken axle. trust me ive done it launching a 12000rpm on stock axles with out adjusting the rear dampners. if you run all slicks all around you would actually be slower because the slicks on the rear will create a drag. slicks are not neccessary as you dont have enough power to pull em i would run good tires like bf goodrich tractions i use to run those in the street class on my 9 sec crx and they hold up to 500hp just run them like 10psi lower on the front and burn out

and also slicks if you can sit there and smoke them there not effective because by the time you line up there not as hot and sticky not unless you burn out the burn out in vht then yeah you be good. thats why cherry street tires are awesome for drags. i actually run better on street tires then i do on slicks even tho traction on the bottom is kinda shitty. thats why people grab dot slicks the street kind cause they give you both a slick and a road tire and i would like to add i run a real skinny rim and tire on mine i think the width is no bigger then 4 in

Lol ^ there you go. Like I said I don't know shit about cars gotta listen to someone who knows.

I would figure you don't need slicks on our cars too little power. I would have to agree with you on running good tires but Peter seemed like he really wanted to use slicks.

Hmmm I just thought he'd spin out with stock tiresin the rear cause our rear is actually lighter than the front and you can feel it in the hatchback. Like when I go over bumps and stuff there is like Almost NO weight in the rear so I thought it'd be a bad idea but again, I never drag race, More into grip lol
