Install of Amazon Fog Lights/ DNA MOTORING/ FL-ZTL-171-AM

Did 2 weeks of Google research on installing on my 2016 Toyota Yaris. Used the existing OEM plugs that were taped up. Tried and not working. Unscrewed bottom portion of Steering Panel, 3x screws. Looked for the Brown and Green wires in the Turn Signal stalk. Soldered them together and plugged in. Bam, works everytime I turn on the Full Headlights! Even the 'fog light symbol' turns on in the dashboard. The 2x screws were not enough to secure to the bezel/bumper, so I added 1x Self Tapping screw, thru the bracket holding side, kinda 'catching some bumper plastic and the fog lights bracket.

Cutting factory harnesses makes me cringe bigtime, I just grabbed a fog light stalk out of a 2010 Tundra and swapped it in, no cutting required.

Also why are you running H16 bulbs? The factory specified size for the Yaris should be H11.

Many of us on here have cut into our stalk wires, or any other areas with no issues. The H16 bulbs offer a Amber color, that's why I used those..btw, Many of us here don't care w/ the manufacturer requires, we do what mechanically works in our ability.

BTW, guys, I did not even use a Single wire/harness/switch from the kit. They Yaris already had everything pre-installed, just not hooked or connected/soldered.

Yeah tell me about it, the previous owners of my wife's Rav4 were harness hackers and I'm still trying to undo the tomfuckery they did to her body harness to install some garbage aftermarket remote start system that doesn't even work.
