Those black wheels hold water spots pretty easy, from my experience. I have to polish them with my preferred auto wax to keep them spotless after every washing. I'm looking forward to replacing them later this year with something more traditional/silver/spoked sporty, instead of the OEM black industrial design (for lack of a better description). From a distance, black wheels always look like steelies that lost their hubcaps to me.

I always thought that the 2015/2016 OEM SE wheels would look a LOT better if the silver and black parts were reversed.

Never been a fan of black wheels or directional design... and here we have both. I guess they'd look somewhat better if they were simply silver.

OP: how long did it take to wash them? And what products did you use?

They make wheel sealants to help in this department. I bought some Poorboy's World Wheel Sealant. Couple of other companies make wheel sealants, as well as wheel wax.

Not a fan of the gloss black paint on silver wheels fad either. Looks cheap IMHO.

I like the 16" black/silver Yaris SE wheels more than those on the Corolla S, iM or iA, but I am still looking forward to replacing them with some slightly wider (w/ET38 offset) polar silver painted 16" Wolfrace Davos Alloy Wheels (or similar) from the U.K. when it is time to get new tires (also going from 195/50 to 205/50 tires). My factory tires aren't wearing out fast enough - I'm still at 90% tread @ a bit over 10K miles. I might have to retire them early.

That looks similar to the 2012-2014 SE wheels. Just missing a spoke.
