I don't have a calculation, but I can tell you that going to a bank to refinance my 07 S with Power Package, Alloys, and Cold Weather package with 42k miles the retail came back as 11,800 and the wholesale came back as 8,100. I paid 15,910 before taxes or fees on this came back in June 06. When I checked earlier in the year before the poop really hit the fan with the whole gas pedal and acceleration issues hit the global news and I had checked those numbers were roughly 2k higher. This is even though our car didn't suffer from those issues. Now I am sure there will be those out there that may argue that would not affect our cars, but it has been mentioned all over the motoring news as well that all lines from Toyota took a hit because of it...it is a stain on the Toyota reputation and to me losing 2k in value over 6-8 months on a 16k car is definitely a hit.

You know what sucks, if you had added lots of mods to the car and got stuff done to it, spent all that money and you will not get a dime out of it.

That all depends on how you sell it...but my perspective is that if you do mods they are for you personally. You should not expect to get a great return on it.

I now somebody who sold his car here in Riyadh for 27,000sr the cash price is 40,800 after 3 years, so it is 66% of the cash price, the odometer reading is 27,000km, or (40800-27000)sr/27000km = 0.51sr/km.

This means also that if your traveling 20km a day you are using 10.2sr depreciation of you car.
