Performance Brake Rotors - Toyota Yaris Forums

Even though this is not a performance car but I was wondering if anyone know if a set of Raybestos vented rotors will do the job

This one is for a mazda protege but I think that it will work

Be VERY carefull when you buy those cheap drilled rotors. These manufacturer take OE style blank rotors and do thier own holes and slots in it. It look exactly like a real performance rotors, it's almost impossible to see the difference, but these blanks rotor are not mild to be drilled because of the metal used. The result is simple, when these drilled rotors are submitted to stress and heat, they just crack and break! I leave you imaginate what it can do to your car depending which speed you gone..................

There is even some real Brembo branded drilled/slotted rotors over eBay and in local shops who are blank Brembo rotors also homemade drilled who are also very bad and dangerous.

I don't think Raybestos do drilled rotors... this is probably some blank Raybestos rotors who are homemade drilled.

I bought a cheap set of cross drilled rotors for my Malibu a couple years ago because I was going through a set of pads every three months. Never had a problem after that with wear on the rotors, nor warping or cracking and hadnt replaced the pads until I traded it in. Maybe quality is a crap shoot.

Raybestos is a good brand. They have been a trusted brand for a long time. Those look like good rotors too. The "PG Plus" rotors are intriguing. Stops 22.5 feet sooner and 3 times the pad life! I know what rotors I will get when the time comes!

you have no need for drilled rotors, they will only eat up your pad and heat up faster due to the lack of mass. if you want some kind of design get slotted, but oem and brembo blanks are your best bet. when i track my car i use pretty expensive slotted rotors, but i don't know if they actually make a difference or not.

Especially on a little car like this i wouldn't think it would really make a noticable difference. But if you got a deep pocket go for it
