LSD for Automatic?

Is there a Limited Slip Diff available? I've always thought the final drive (being separate but in the same housing) was the same for manual and auto but just wanted to make sure. Vendors, Prices, Links appreciated.

They are different. Here's a pic of the differential out of an automatic. I don't believe that any of the LSDs for the Yaris will work with our AT.

^ Correct, none fit the Automatic trans. For more research, look up Kaaz, Cusco, TRD, OS Giken.

That sucks but oh well. That right front spins like an SOB so I guess I'll just turn left more.

LOL, the unweighted wheel always spins. Try driving backwards so more weight is on the front tires when accelerating.

I was thinking of entering NASCAR since the whole left turn thing would work in my favor. Who cares that they have 6 times the horsepower, I have traction dammit.

P.S. Has enyone ever welded the spider effectively locking the diff? Understeer even with the weight on the front?

I don't know of anyone who has welded a diff - if you do it, please document and post!

Yeah, I'm excited to see you preform at the next Indy 500 or something, lol.

I had inside tire traction issues with slicks on my stock-motor Echo... are you racing your Yaris? Any suspension work?

Only light to light and occasionally around a corner or two. Stock height progressive rate springs (Custom) due to my choice in rims. Strut tie bar (also custom/home made). Rear bracing in the works and coilovers are in my future.
