Great trip! Thanks for all the outstanding photos. Once again, I feel as if I were there, too!
And, thanks for the map of your trip. I'll consider taking exactly that route in the future. |

That is a very cool road trip!
It also boggles my mind how long you Californians can drive around without licence plates for! |

Outstanding road trip! How’d she do in the high altitude environment? I think I like the picture with the Antelope the best, pretty sweet!

Cool trip!
You should have photoshoped your Yaris planted with the other cars and also I was waiting for the Yaris in the middle of the meteor crater. I love all the abandoned structures' pictures Sent from my SM-T530NU using Tapatalk |

In all the trips you have taken, have you ever run into mechanical problems or other problem stuff with the Yaris?

funny story I went on a road trip from california to NC in my 07 liftback and we took the I40/66 route. I ended up at that exact abandoned gas station you are parked inside. At the time it was super lowered and had lots of cargo inside. There was a metal grate at the entrance to the place and I manage to catch the edge of my gas tank's heat shield and tore it halfway off. I was furthur made nervous because there were two younger men camped at the gas station with an old beat up car and a sleeping cot. When they noticed we were stuck they started walking over. This is when I was sure we were goners. Turns out they were on a cross country run that was being filmed to support the local film industry in Charlotte, NC. They helped us jack up the car and temporarily fix the heat shield and bend it to rest on the hard break lines. We limped it to the next town which coincidentily was where we were supposed to stay for the night. The next morning we found the only mechanic in town and begged for them to raise the coilovers and look at the broken heatshield. The mechanic not only let me help him with the coilovers but he didnt charge us a penny for his services. It was a great story to have for a great road trip!
the documentary is called " Running for film" and the mechanic is called "Wilkinson's Graphics and Auto" in Holbrook, AZ
