It is time I get new tires again

In the past, I've ran Yokohama S.Drive 195/55R15. Ran that 4 years before a nail ruined them. it was the last summe with them anyways.
Then I went with some cheap, lightly used Hankook Optime H727, which lasted another 4 years before I got tired of air leaks. I had nails in 3 of the 4 tires, and the patches were crap.
So, after long research trying to find good compromise with less expensive tires.. I bought another set of Yokohama S.Drive 6 years ago.

My car is gonna be 13 years old now, and needs new tires. I will stick with 195/55R15 size or maybe move up to 16inches, so I'm debating getting Kumho ECSTA PA31 195/55R15 or going with Zeta ZTR10 195/50R16 with a new set of wheels.

Now.. how bad will be my ride in 16"?

I have run kumho ecstas in the past with great success. I currently have a set of hankook optimas and the wet traction is horrendous.

LOL the H727 have a 700AB threadwear rating. There isn't much traction nevertheless.

Go with BFG g-force sport comp 2's. They come in a 195 55 15 and are a 340 tw. One of the best wet handling tires I have ever driven and they are a beast in the dry. Relatively inexpensive tire at that size

I had 3 sets of Kumho Ecsta 4X in 205/50/16. Obviously, I liked them... a lot!

Ride is excellent. I always ran 205/50/16's on my 2007 and 2014. I think it's among the best fitments for the Yaris.

What offset are you using? Also, 16x6.5 or 16x7?

For best fit on your '07, I would go with 16x7, ET42-45, 205/50/16. You'll be flush up front with ET42. If you don't mind a bit of a poke up front, you can go with ET38-40.
