removing the dash
If I want to replace my AC compressor I also need to vaccum out the whole system of debris that a broken compressor can leave thru out the pipes and other parts.I have
talked to a couple pros and they both say you cant just stick a new compressor on it and go. I would have to pull the whole dash and remove and clean or replace the blower unit that actually blows cool air out the vents. It can have debris in it... How can you remove the entire dash and is it a nightmare???Has anyone seen this unit under there??? What does it look like?? |

Have you checked out the OEM repair manual yet? It has all of the steps for replacing/repairing everything.

You don't need to take the dash apart to do it. You use an AC vacuum pump to draw a vacuum on the system. A high end AC vacuum pump will have an indicator as the number of microns that it has purge the system down to.
