They are not more worn down. The rear shoes do indeed start out thinner than the front pads.

Before I totaled my 2007 yaris sedan 2 months ago I had 140000 miles on the car and still had 60 percent of my ORGINAL brakes on the car. This was verfied by my dealer at my yearly inspection that month. Unless you have a caliper sticking or some other mechanical problem you shouldn't need brakes.

Get a second opinion. It is possible that you have some problem that is causing the excessive break wear....or maybe you drive with you foot on th brake all the time which causes quick wear out. Get a 2nd opinion!

Unles you have a mechanical problem like a sticky caliper or you two foot drive with your foot on the brake pedal there just could not be any way they are bad at 16000.
took mine off auto HB at 40000 and they are still like new, both the pads and the rotors. Get another opinion at another place, but do not tell them there is anything wrong or that you were told they needed replaced, just let them take a look and have them show you the brakes as well as the measurements on them and the specs for needing replaced. |
