No, if I did the racing you did, I'd be swapping in rear disc. Though, I already did that.

There has been plenty of discussions within the LSR community about rear drums and most keep them.

I would think that disc carry far less weight, especially at their outer edge and would lower rotating mass and improve acceleration

There have been a few guys that I have talked to that have made the change and they really didn't notice any difference when it came to speed or acceleration. Braking yes, but that is because they went not only disc, by also big brake. To me the cost being several hundred to upwards of a grand isn't worth it. Time will tell.

It has to be a six point for up to 175. Over that will require a full. This one will have the main hoop, harness bar, front and rear legs. Depending I may go with a mid hoop angle leg however that isn't likely at this stage.

It should look something like this:

The cage doesn't require a diagonal section across the main hoop?

Every chassis is different on what they require. That above is just an example they provide. The cage design actually requires approval.

Pretty good, did you get the chance to re-tune for even more power?

Not yet and may end up being on the fly if I do get to race in a month. Too much to get done and getting to the Dyno is tough as it is. Plans may be shifting some as the house just went under contract yesterday, but the goal is to still race in July and LDW.

Been a while again. Been super busy with selling the house and getting ready to move to Texas.

Roll cage complete. Now to paint. Cage is 100% removable as well. 1 3/4" @ .120 sidewall. Good for up to 200mph. Then would need to go full cage then.

Completely removable, so i assume you're going to bolt it into the car? That sounds almost insane a bolt in cage is rated to that speed, it looks damn good as always.

Hows the comfort of that Kirkey seat? You know you mean business when you have 10+ c16 5 gal tanks sitting in your garage lol

The cage has the 3/8" thick 6*6 top plats and then 3/8" 6*12 plates under the car. It is a standard setup for many subcompact cars out there. If I seem to have much more speed available then I will most likely go weld in because it will require me to upgrade to a full cage.

We use a ton of fuel each weekend. Carl's Mustang goes through 3-4 gallons alone per pass. Back in 2014 with the previous setup at 15psi I went through a half gallon per pass.
