At the top. Post #2. The pics of the spacer with spring perch on top are new. So are the pics of the whole assembly sitting in the rear spring perch. Just need to finalize the welds and drill 4 holes and the driver side spacer is complete. Gonna attack the passenger side tomorrow but doubt I'll get it finished. Places to be around 2pm.

Nice building parts. Did you try placing coil in its place?

I only have access to the xd springs that are in the car now at the moment. No spring compressor needed to fit the xd coil in! And from what I remember, there was no height difference between the xd and yaris coil springs. Just that the material used to make the spring was thicker.

those look slick. should work awesome. the XD is heavier so makes sense the coils would be thicker and you'd have less sag and why they give the lift at the same length as the stock springs. I assume you are going back to the stock Yaris springs to soften the ride? Looks great though. excited to see more.

I'm not sure if I'm gonna go back to the stock yaris springs in the rear. The xd springs are a bit harsher but that translates to decent cornering :) gonna have to experiment. For sure gonna put the oem yaris springs in the front though. I don't want over lift it up front and stress the cv joints.

Hopefully I'll get a chance this week to cut the other spacer and get everything welded up. Possibly drill all holes in the flanges this weekend and install with the xd springs just to see how it looks. Updates coming soon!

In the 5th paragraph of the first post, you'll see the reason outlined as to why I didn't want to mess around with searching for spring and shock combinations that fit. The whole reason I'm building the spacers it to avoid all of that.

Definitely interested in seeing how this thread moves on!
I live in Calgary so the added ground clearance is something I’ve been toying with for a while now too. I’m familiar with Crashy and the Overland Yaris, however I found these pictures online which you guys might enjoy. Not entirely sure how he got the lift he did, I can’t find any info on this Yaris at all. I can see that he trimmed fenders and in turn removed the fender liners but from what I can see the suspension doesn’t appear aftermarket?

That's what I'm talking about! Appears he has taller springs in the rear. Although this is just speculation...

Yeah I’ve dug and dug and dug online to try to find info on that car somewhere but to no avail. Found one of the pics on Instagram but the person who posted wasn’t the owner sadly.
I’m guessing he’s got such an offset on the wheels to avoid any up front rubbing when turning?
It’s inspiring to see others getting funky with their Yaris as it means it’s definitely attainable!

Also, I noticed in your engine swap thread you were looking to add cruise control? Well CTScott did an awesome DIY write up with PDF instructions and all the part numbers you’d need depending on your year/style of Yaris. Should be pretty each to find through the search I think.

I read somewhere..on subculture maybe he's on stock suspension but he plan to custom made longer spring both front and rear.

Its sure any real suspension truck shop have a big book with all spec to find same spring rate but longer. In BC they have 2shop they made custom spring but the price...

Just need to find longer shock assembly and fit them like mazda3 owner put cx5 strut to lift 2-3inch

Yep. I've done it to 2 cars now. Love my cruise. I'm wondering if it's still a plug n play affair for the 2zr swapped car. I imagine it would be.... but can't confirm

An gotcha gotcha, makes sense. That’s one mod that I just haven’t gotten around to yet but hope to possibly sometime this summer! The cruise that is, not the engine swap haha. The xD’s seem pretty rare here so finding one to steal any goodies off of proves challenging.

It doesn't look like the Black Yaris is lifted much at all. It looks like he put [s]spacers[/s] Wheels for offset and trimmed the fenders and that's it. If so I'll be fine doing what I am to mine as I'm not going that big on the tires. It's really neat looking though.
