Mine Rattles TOO

I also have a rattle to the front and left of the steering wheel. It seems to be related to the el-cheepo plastic storage cubbie on the left side of the steering column. --MJThttp://www.yarisworld.com/forums/images/smilies/mad.gif

see if you can insulate the glove box at the edges and see if it stops. if it stops just use a little stick on foam. your going to get rattles... its an industrial standard today.

mine rattles near the windshield on the drivers and passengers side, just wait until you get more miles on it and the heat/cooling cycles work on it some more. That nice tight finish in el-cheapo plastic and clips is short lived.

Its just the Yaris shaking its "moneymaker," which is located behind the fuse box.

just push some foam down towards the cowl. most toyota/lexus models rattles there, some worse then others.

I need to get mine in. There is a rattle between the speedometer and the windshield that is beginning to drive me crazy. I have tried to locate it with no luck. There is also an intermittent rattle coming from the passenger seatbelt anchor. For those that have taken theirs to the dealer, were they able to fix it?

depends on the area of the rattle, most of what we will do is use a toyota insulation kit, foaming certain area's and padding others.

if the insulation kit doesnt work, are you then allowed to replace parts inside of the panels?? just curious since my sienna has a rattle in the drivers seatbelt area, has the insulation kit installed, and STILL rattles in cold weather conditions (early morning, late night driving). i've got a case number going with toyota corporate, and a case manager is supposed to call by tomorrow letting me know my next options (the vans been in 3 times already for this, and all attempts have failed). its a shame since we absolutely LOVE this van, aside from the fact that every now and then it sounds like a small geiger counter is going off behind my left ear...

There is a Technical Service Bulletin for 2003-2007 Toyota vehicles.

If a creak, tick, or rattle noise is heard at the top or bottom of the windshield, the source of the noise may be the two windshield stoppers bonded to the top of the windshield or the windshield retainers bonded to the lower edge of the windshield. This bulletin provides the recommended repair procedure to eliminate these types of noises from the windshield area.

Check with your dealer.

I don't know if anyone notice, but the bracket for the high mounted brake light that mounted on the liftgate is quite loose, and it is rattling like hell when you're running at certain speed. Tried fix it at the dealership, but not helping much, it's still loose.

I'd take it in ASAP if it's getting your nuts! That could be really REALLY dangerous

this is not-so-fun fix, and many times does not fix the noise... possibly 5% of vehicles will use that recall for the same complaint.
