DIY: Crosspost of how to get rid of DBW Lag!

http://www.mustangforums.com/m_37925..._1/key_/tm.htm

Ok, so this looks like a pretty good way of getting rid of that dead pedal feeling right when you hit the gas... if anyone wants to be the guinee pig and take it apart that would be cool and snap some pics. I will be doing this once i get a spare pedal assembly... Just though I would share this with everyone. If no one does it before I do, I will take pics and post it up!

Sounds tempting, but no way am I messing with my pedal and throttle control system! That could seriously mess up your car or cause an accident!

Thats why im waiting to get a new assembly so I can :P but I don't think it will ever cause an accident if you do it dilligently and correct, and match up idle you know? It will be the same thing, just no pedal travel without there being any revs

Most cars are usually well grounded out nowadays, CAI worth about 2 hp and loss of lowend, and the cheap modules don't work in general let alone on our ecus which are self adapting all the time, thats why I am also working on reflashing the ECU. I also just found out that the pedals in the Yaris are electronically and magnetically driven so this won't work.... back to the drive by cable idea!

Um... no, you call one 8 gauge wire going from the battery to the firewall well grounded?

well theres multiple ground wires throughout the car im assuming, and what would a grounding kit do anyways because I never had the chance to install one yet?, maybe free up a little bit of robbed energy from the 80 Amp Alternator
