What if you only drive to the store and back?
Most of my driving is a mile or two to the store and back. I only average about 29 miles per gallon but that’s winter and summer. I used to drive six or 7 miles to work and back and I got 35 miles per gallon in the summer, 32 or three in the winter. That’s with an automatic transmission.

Need to get it out on the highway from time to time, helps clean out the motor a bit and dry out the exhaust. low speed driving allows alot of moisture to collect in exhaust and rusts it out sooner

Yes. Have to take it out on the highway at least once a week to blow out all the garbage.
After a good run I notice she runs smoother with a bit more get up and go. |

I do make a ten mile nonstop drive a coupe times a month. The wife drove the car away to home depot and there was water running out the tailpippe like a faucet!
