Flat Spots
Just wondering, I'll be going home for christmas and will be gone for 18 days. I have low profile (40) tires and don't want to fuck them up. So how long can I go with my car sitting in the garage with out damaging the rubber?

You’ll be ok after 18 days I think. I’m sure it would take several months
in very bad conditions to cause any damage. Hays I edited this to say that I am no expert - far from it, but I have owned a few old cars with old tires… and I did stay at a Holiday Express. |

Ya it would take several months for real damage.but I am always on the safe side,so put 2 or 4 more psi in each, this will help the tire keep shape.

bikers winterize their bikes by standing the biker over a plank of wood rather than cement. I guess you should do the same and let the car stand over wood rather than cold cement.

Most people I know just raise them up and put their cars on Jack stands. Some of my hot rod buddies do that to keep from getting flat spots in their rubber. They are very weird about things like that so I believe 18 days would be just fine.
