Spray painting hubcaps

Hi, everyone. I'm interested in painting my hubcaps all black except the toyota emblem I like it silver, how would I go abouts doing this.

Reccommended paints? Is there simple ones I can get at Walmart or Canadian tire that won't look like shit, yet work.

ex; aslong as it's black glossy water resistant and dirt it should be fine?

Looked for some guides didn't find anything along these lines links would be cool.

Thanks again guys.

Scuff sand, adhesion promoter, primer, base coat clear coat, wet sand if required. I usually use SEM paint.

Kevin, have you heard/seen those "Beautification Trims"? I think that's what they are called. Basicly, they are trim for your Steelies. Looks pretty good and are about $40ish for a set of 4.

Here is a link to the thread that has pics of the "beautification trims".

All I can say is that they do look pretty good, especially if you clean and wax your steelies.

Where do you exactly get beauty rings? And how do you put them on, those look badass.

They would prob look nice with some bullet caps too.

Thanks for the info so far guys, btw I tried to take off my hub caps but it felt like they were gonna snap. Went to my spare wheel and the only tools I found were for the steelies.

these are the rings i bought off ebay. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/15-St...item518bcac617
he has several more sets, ships fast and i am happy with how they look. they just snap right on. as for the standard hub caps, just give them a good tug and they will pop off.

Damn, nice rings. You're sure those will fit on my stock 2010 sedan? If so thanks for the find I'll buy some of those with my next pay cheque I think it comes with 4.

if you do spray, heat the can in a pot of boiling water, it makes the paint go on super thick, without running

http://www.harborfreight.com/replace...cap-93833.html

they are a bit too small and require being bonded on to the rim. also had to trim off half the bottom to fit flush. sand blasted and clear coated prior to installing. should be easy enough to knock them off if i ever have a reason to.
