for me, nothing at all lol. In chicago, the fireworks at Navy Pier are on the 3rd so i'll probably go to that but for the actual 4th, there's really not much to do.. maybe i'll just crash a party to eat their BBQ

Shooting off fireworks, of course! They are illegal to sell (and supposedly illegal to possess) in town, but the fireworks bus parks right over the county line.

In my part of the country fireworks are not just for July 4th, but is a year-round passtime. Of course, so is blowing off a finger or burning out an eye, lighting the woods on fire, or exploding your entire damn trailer (as some guys did last year when they hid their illegal fireworks in the effing oven and forgot!)

Probably not, because July 4th is the day the United States celebrates it's independance, so we shoot off a bunch of fireworks (where permitted)

Fireworks are nothing but threats to safety, dry combustible materials, and the environment.

Our family does nothing with them but report those shooting them off to the Police, as they are illegal here.

This coming from and X-smoker who littered countless, highways, driveways, parking lots and store fronts with smoldering butts.

X-smokers are the worst, tell me about it, I'm one.

I leave the fireworks to the pros. They do a show over the lake near my pad and it is pretty great. It's HUGE and I must say I like pyro but I don't appreciate the dickshits blasting them off in my hood.
