Where to get inner fender well liners
I recently bought a 2007 Yaris S Sedan 4 door. The front wheel wells are missing the plastic liner/cover/guard cover things that go above the wheels. My mechanic strongly recommended that I get them installed to prevent rocks from flying up and possibly damaging something in the engine.
He said he'd do it for $650, which seemed incredibly high. I called my local Toyota dealer and didn't get a quote for the work, but they did say the parts would be $110 for each side. I've found a couple places online that sell what looks like the parts I need, so I was thinking of ordering them and just putting them on myself. It doesn't seem like it should be very much work, and I'm hoping it wouldn't even require removing the wheels. To cut to the chase, can anyone confirm that these are the right parts? Why are they so much cheaper from partsgeek.com? partsgeek.com parts.com trademotion.com Thanks for any help. |

They look right but I don't want to say they are when they may not be. I've bought them before after destroying mine with big rims and a lowered car. I recommend buying them from the dealer for 20% off - just tell them you can get them from a dealership or distributor online for 20% off but they charge shipping. So if you will give me the same discount I will buy them from you. Then install yourself as you saw, it isn't hard to do.
I've never had a dealership turn down the 20% discount. $110 - 20% = $88 x2 = $176 + tax for CA ? = ___ Or try these guys. I've bought from them before and had no problem with them. http://www.trademotion.com/partlocat...layCatalogid=0

Just make sure you get the correct clips for installation. They are not all the same.

I ordered the ones from partsgeek since they were less than half the cost of the others, and no one said anything negative about them. If they turn out to be no good, I'm only out 70 bucks.
