4x6 should fit in the hole in the door but u will need a mount plate of some sort. i put a 6" in front and it still needed a mounting plate (used 1" think plywood)

That's what I figured, thanks. As for the dash adapter, does it matter the years on these cars? I can't seem to find one that specifically says 2011.

Just curious if anyone ran into this problem with replacing the front door speakers with the template pdf. I used a 3/4 in piece of wood which is like half the thickness of the factory bracket but now I cannot fit my door panel back on, it appears to be hitting something, but with such little space it is hard to tell what it is hitting the speaker or the template itself. Any idea would be helpful.

What about speaker sizes for a 2009 Toyota yaris 5 door hatchback? I see this thread was started a number of years ago. Has the sizing changed at all? Thanks!

As far as I know, speaker sizes haven't changed since the '07 restyle. The bigger issue will be finding speakers that fit into either the stock shell or the Scosche SAT6. My Polk DXi650's will not fit in either, so I'm going to make some from sheet plastic or cheap cutting boards.

Ok so I figured out the difference. If I obtain one of these kits, realistically, how hard is it to replace? Will I need any other parts? How long will it take for an amateur?
An hour or two at most make sure you match up the wiring in accordance with the manual for the headunit. I would also highly reccomend soldering and head shrinking everything. Here is a great video to get you started.

So I purchased the Scosche TA02B car stereo adapter (which only has 2 connectors. Today when I took my factory radio out, it's got 3 plugs, not 2. What gives?

Nice 6.5" template - am wondering if anyone has a template for the 6x9 / sedan adapter?

(Lots of sites sell adapters, but I got a small CNC & 3D printer - eventually I want to make my own adapter).

2007 Toyota yaris wiringnhelp!!!

OK i got a 2007 Toyota yaris and I want to change my factory deck, not sure if it will matter but my factory deck is silver instead of black like I had seen on YouTube, and when I was looking for a wiring harness there is ones with and without the factory amp to power the two back speakers, so what I'm asking is what wiring harness do I get, its the 4 door hatchback so any help is greatly appreciated
Thanks in advance

This part is designed for aftermarket radio install if you have a build in amp like the JBL or mark Levinson audio system in the Lexus.

Anyone installed a pair of Rockford P1650 speakers in their front doors of a 2nd gen 3dr HB ? RF website specs states 2.24" mounting depth, just want to make sure the door have enough depth to fit these speakers.

Thanks

I really want help here:

I replaced my factory front speakers with a pair of jvc cs-j620x in my 2009 HB yaris. The music is a lot clearer now, but the bass is terrible. So what should I do now?

Buy an amp?
Change the HU?
Soundeadning the doors?

I am all stock right now. I don't want bass that will keep my neighbors awake. I just want some decent music depth. Please suggest
