Talking Oups!!! That was maybe a little bit TOO close!

Hi guys!

I went lapping last weekend. Instructors always telling us to "get closer to the wall", so I listen to them:

First run
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M-FxJEQ1P0k
Second run
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OfnTJYz2f4A

Don't worry, everything is all right! Only the cover of the mirror got hurt and was throw away lol. I dropped my time of -1.5 sec., my best time ever! Had a lot of fun!!

I took the car a little bit too close of the wall (I need to get the closer I can to have the best "coming in" possible for the next turn), so my mirror flipped (closed) and the cover was pulled up. Everything was under control lol, but I didn't knew I was THAT close.

Yokohama Parada...(205/45/17) not very nice sincerly, but great compromise between "track tire" and "daily drive tire". Nest one will be S Drive or Azenis.

Trish I don't know about you but there has to be a slightly better line to take on that "chicane", been a while since i went to St-Bumpy but maybe a little more turn in and follow through. Save you a mirror cover lol
lol Yeah, there are better lines, I try to find which one will be the best for my car and me. N-e-ways, I dropped my time of 1.5 sec. so I'm happy ;)

The mirror is a little scratched, but nothing really bad.

Whoa, thats a lot of fun, and yes you got too close to that wall. I would go crazy if I did that and kit the car against the wall, too much damage then.

As for the Yaris, seems like you either got close to the wall on purpose, or the car has very bad traction? Someone fill me in on this please.

I believe she got closer to the wall on purpose since her instructor was telling her to.

But yes, I can't wait to track my sedan. Looks like you have tons of fun.
