Extra protection stuff?

Hey everyone!
I just purchased a yaris today, and it will take a few weeks to get it
I live up in Canada and here they offer some "protection" stuff at the dealership
Highest package is about 1500 and comes with:
Undercoat Protection (Black tar stuff to stop underbody rust)
Rust protection along door jams and wheel wells
Paint protection (A long lasting wax/clear coat they claim)
Interior protection (Fabric Spray)
and 3M tape for the hood and bumper

Anyways, I've been told mostly dealers mark the price up and outsource anyways so I'm expecting to be ripped off money wise thru their program. However being in Canada, and we get snow and this city salts from time to time, I wouldn't mind getting the Undercoat protection, cause i guess anything helps.
All the paint stuff, I'll just wash and wax and I know i'll be fine. Interior will be easy to maintain.

I guess my biggest question is if anyone got the 3M stuff? My yaris will be that new pearl white, but my last car had 3m tape on it, and after 3 years it started to yellow just a tad. I dont like chips, but I don't like yellowing tape that, if replaced could peel the paint anyways.. Has anyone got a white yaris and the 3M tape with any review?
Any info about these would be great anyways! Thanks for your time!

Honestly, don't bother with the "protection" packages the stealership is selling. Save the money and get on with the "mods".

That's some good advice.

Ya so not even the 3M stuff?
I looked at what it covers and its just a small part of the hood, not even the bumper so I'm not impressed either

Here in my region all Toyotas come with a $349 Vehicle Shield Package. So sometimes you dont have a choice on the protection stuff.

Don't buy into that crap. Was the salt off often and your good to go. Dealers try to scare you into all kinds of things. Read your warranty. Your covered against corrosion I believe for five years.

I think in the end what concerns me most is if I should get the 3M protection done. On dark color cars I would say it's fine, but being on a white car, the film has been known to yellow.
I guess I'm wondering if anyone has tried newer stuff or if anyone really experiences this problem

I live in Prince George, its BAD here.

Got it all put on and im modding just fine, mines a 2010 silver sedan I can post pics if you want.

Some standard protection stuff you might add here are splash guards front and back, hood protector visor, and bumper protector should keep wheel area solid etc

I'd pass on all that stuff, including the 3m.
