Door speakers not working =[

Hey!
Got a Yaris T2 on Saturday. 2 years old. Im 17 - not bad for a first car Only downside is, theres 4 speakers, the 2 dash mounted, and the 2 in the doors, these two arn't working. Any checks i can do on them without pulling apart the door?

Think i'll end up putting in electric windows/remote central locking, hopefully find someone with a bit of electronics knowledge to do it though, as god knows what i'd end up doing to it

Hmmm check if the "fade" option is not set to the rear speakers only. I remember i did that and i was freakin out why my front speakers wasnt workin.

If that doesnt work, then u have to pull apart the door panel and see if the wires are connected and such.....

theres some insight of it

Its a 3 door, so theres only 2 dash mounted, and 2 at the bottom of the doors, so the fade options out as theres no rear speakers

dismantling the door.......i was afraid of that =[

I maybe unfamiliar with your version but are you sure of the dash mounts? In North America only door and rear in the hatchback?

but there is still a fade control even though there are no rear. the rear speakers are considered the door speakers

Thanks for the replys
The only option available was the balance, to switch between the left/right speakers.

He probably doesn't have what North America calls a Yaris. It's two years old, so I think he has what Canada got as the Echo. Anyway, our Echo was a 2003 five door and had four speakers where you say. With the stock MP3 deck, we did have a fader control. Front equalled dash and rear equalled front doors.

Do you have the stock deck? If it's aftermarket, could be hooked up improperly.

Another idea- maybe your "trim" only came with two speakers the dash and nothing else??

There is an aftermarket cd player. The original tape deck still exits, with the cd player below it. However, its a Toyota cd player (well, Toyota branding) which would lead me to believe it was factory-installed. So it might be more than the wiring if it was installed officially
