Update on the headlight situation. TRS is letting me exchange them. I didn't want to risk another faulty Morimoto kit, so I decided on trying the Profile Peak LED headlights. https://www.theretrofitsource.com/h4...ght-bulbs.html

Yes, I am fully aware that they will not perform anywhere near HIDs, but as long as they're better than the stock halogen bulbs, I'll be fine with them.

Keep us updated on how these work out! Still trying to decide on what direction to go with my lighting after so many faulty HID kits.

Installed an Ultra Racing front strut bar. I painted it champagne bronze to try to match the bronze paint of the Sparco wheels. Not exact match, but it's the closest off the shelf paint I can find.

And yes, I know, dirty engine bay. I'll get around to cleaning it one of these days. haha

I like it! Nice idea with the bronze colour tying it all together.

Stock halogen vs these Profile Peak LEDs. Bottom are obviously the X5 LED foglights.

Thanks guys! I'm tempted to get a rear "strut" bar and repaint it. hahaha. But would rather spend that money elsewhere.

One of the rear speakers started going out not too long after the Kenwood HU was installed, so decided to upgrade them to Infinity Reference speakers.

Just like the front speakers, I did the lazy way of installing them by simply cutting out the OEM paper speakers and just screwing the new speakers over the OEM brackets.

Thanks. It was the quickest way. lol. I didn't feel like drilling out the factory brackets, and risk the aftermarket brackets not fitting (as I've read happening before on other kinds of Toyotas). So I just used the wire harness adapter and not the brackets.

Since I change back into my flip flops from my steel-toe work shoes at night, I decided to install some footwell lighting in hopes of it helping me see better.

Dome plus footwell:

Just the footwell:

Watch out for the speaker hitting the grill once you close everything up.

The tweeters have a couple mm clearance between the trim/grill and it. If I push hard on the grill, I can make the two touch. No issues so far tho.

Thats interesting, because I destroyed my front speakers and they never fit.

Wanted to update the interior a bit, so decided to get rid of the green glow of the HVAC controls and make them modern and classy with VLEDs white HVAC bulbs.

Also replaced the stock side markers bulbs (top) with VLEDs HVA 360* bulbs (bottom). Pic doesn't do them justice, especially since the VLED side had more day light shining on it compared to the stock bulb side (garage was opened).
