2012 L with SE front, SC and other racing goodies

Hi gang. I made the upgrade to a 2012 from my 2008. I’ll be putting all of my other oarts on the new car. For those of you who haven’t seen my other thread, I have some BC racing coilovers, a Recaro seat, Sparco wheel, some volk TE37V’s and a power enterprise supercharger that will be going on the new car.

I will also be swapping the front end of the ‘12 to an SE front end. I think I’ll have the only two door SE car :). So far I’ve ordered everything I need and I’m just waiting for parts to show up. Hopefully the bumper reinforcement and headlights are the same. Here’s an almost complete list of the parts I’m using. The only part that I ordered that’s not on this list is the chrome surround piece for the lower dam. I ordered that the next day.

I can list the part numbers individually if someone else wants them. All in it cost me about $380 for the parts. Fog lights not included since I already had them from my other car.

I just ordered my seat bracket and steering wheel hub. I feel like I have more oarts than I have time for installs.

It sucks a bit but I’ll have more than enough time in about 3 weeks.

I just impulse purchased more parts too. I was on the hunt for a modellista lip and instead I ordered the modellista grill and a Tom’s Spoiler. These Japanese auction sites make it really easy to spend all of your money.

Here’s an actual pic of the grill and a stock photo of the grill and spoiler.

I’m still on the hunt for the modellista lips but I’m going to have to wait a while for those parts. The rear SE conversion isn’t high priority for me at the moment but I would like to make it happen.

Oh man. I looked everywhere and I couldn’t find one on there. Maybe I’m calling it something wrong.

My coilovers came in today. I’m really hoping to get them installed this weekend.

Welp...the spoiler I ordered was discontinued. I guess it’s back to the drawing board.

On a good note though, my bumper is the last front end but that I’m waiting for for the conversion. I spoke with my body guy today and he started getting the color ready. I took two days off of work and I now have a total of five days to install my coilovers, bumper and supercharger as well as get some relaxing in.

I started to tackle my coilovers today. I’m pretty sure I took a lot longer than I should have but I’m okay with that because I was thorough. I even got the opportunity to make a tool because the fronts are such a pain in the butt to get out.

It’s still on jackstands because I have to mount the SE bumper tomorrow after I pick it up from the paint shop. Tomorrow is going to be a good day.

I am absolutely in love with this car. The coilovers and front end really complete it. I took it for a drive around some twisties and it seems a bit light in the rear but I’ll play with the dampening a bit some other day.
