Thanks Doc!

Just sent the info to Slowmotion. We will see what they say about our ECU difficulties.

So if your going to eliminate the CEL, don't you have to (1) put the missing O2 sensor back, and (2) put the MAF where it's supposed to be (as in after the filter but before the turbo)? I'm just trying to think back to how the ZPI kit was built... Isn't the MAF in it's stock location, trying to measure pressurized air flow? I can't remember...

Oh, and congrats on the turbo. I'm jealous but must admit I was skeptical based on the sellers history.

It has a tune. Greddy E-manage. It just isn't the RIGHT tune.

That is correct. The MAF is in stock placement measuring boosted air. Poor MAF.

As far as tuning it without a CEL, as long as you can replicate the correct signals from the missing second O2 sensor in theory you should be able to tune it. In a perfect world I'd go standalone and we could forget about it, and since this is Ohio and it is the beginning of race season I could probably find a deal on a standalone, but I'm not going to bother. I'd love to be the one to figure out the tuning issue for the rest of us. I'm going to stop talking about tuning like I know anything about it now. All I know is my exhaust smells like gas and that is bad and it needs to be fixed.

I don't blame you for your concerns. I would have never done this deal if it weren't in person, and I was half tempted to not let anyone else do it remotely either, but I didn't want it to look like I was being a mizer. I just didn't want anyone to get "Evan from PE'd." Now that all is said and done I'm glad it went as planned. (Sort of... took an extra day)

I am going to go home and wash my car and go to this Suby meetup in hopes that between 25 boosted cars, one owner will know a guy who knows a guy who is a little closer to home and can help me with this tune. If this doesn't work, I'm going to Slowmotion.

Yeah, I've offered to test fit some RC Engineering injectors in my motor to see if they'll fit. According to my calculations, 270 to 300 cc would be the max we can put into the Yaris and still expect the stock ECU to be able to control at idle.
