Abs engaging at low speed

Hi everyone, this is my first topic. I realy hope to find help here guys.

I have a yaris sedan 2007. I recently start having trouble with the abs engaging at low speed.

I got 4 abs codes: 1241, 0200, 0205 and 0215.

On other topics some people thinks everything is related to the 1241.

I cleaned the abs sensor connector at each wheels and cleaned the positive pole of the battery where there was a lot of corrosion but i keep having the problem.

Here my questions :


1-Is it normal that i got 5,6 megaohms resistance at both front sensors and no voltage when i turn the hub?
2-How can i know wich hub i need to replace ?
3-Am i suppose to see the dented ring by the hole after pulling out the abs sensor?

A scanner that can show abs data will help pinpoint which side is giving you trouble. Can you see if the front tone rings are cracked?

When i look in the hole after removing the abs sensor i don't see the tone ring it is just flat...

the abs kicking in at low speed is common on faulty/corroded sensors. What other stated above is a good idea, use a scanner to check what sensors are actually receiving proper data and which ones are not. Use a multimeter to see if the abs wire is still ok, if it is then your issue is likely the hub side of it and a replacement hub is needed

I only have the bluedriver scanner that gave me those 4 codes. I already chek the resistance of both front sensors and i got 5,6 MΩ. Some people say we should get between about 980 Ω and 2350 Ω. So i was wondering if someone has mesured his sensors resistance and could tell me the value he got.

Your best bet is to just check the factory service manual for what resistance it says you should have.

I'm not too familiar with my yaris abs system (because I haven't done any work on it or others), but rust jacking of the abs sensor could be an issue. This is where rust builds up between the sensor & the mount. It cause the air gap to open just slightly. Cleaning the rust away usually take care of it.

I cheked the service manual and they only talk about the harness resistance not the sensor. Anyway i found the actuator plug, i cleaned it and then cler my abs codes. The only one who came back is 0215 (rear skid control sensor) a common yaris problem. I am gonna chek the input voltage on the harness.

Ex-x-fire that's a good point. I did it at the beginning. I removed carefuly both front sensors and cleaned all the rust. I got both jacked. After clearing the code 0200 and 0205 never came back.

C0125 is the code for the left rear wheel speed sensor. It's a common issue (especially in east coast cars) that corrosion develops at the rear wheel abs connector on the wheel hub. If you haven't already unplug the connector at the rear wheel to see how bad it is. If you can't see any corrosion on the wire connector or on the rear hub connector then you can clean it up and apply some dielectric grease to protect it and plug it back in. If the corrosion is bad on the wire harness connector you can replace the left rear wheel abs wire harness, but if the connection of the connector on the wheel hub is badly corroded you have to replace the whole wheel hub since the abs sensor is built into the hub.

B.B._07 If im goodly remembering, last time i cheked that rear sensor connector i didnt notice rust on the pins but ill need to get back there to chek again. It is really hard to test the resistance of the skid control...last time i tried to place an aligator cable on it the pin just kinked and i got to bring it back to place so i can put the connector back in. Im hoping i didnt break it.
