Why do you want to watch dvds while you drive?

Run it to a switch under the dash. What stereo/dvd player is it?

just connect the brake wire from the HU to the black ground wire in the harness..voila!

it just needs to be grounded.

Don't run voltage to it. I believe that the wire is a ground switch, i.e. you need to run the wire to a ground then back to the switch. Leave the switch open, when you start the car hit the switch which should ground it out, I need to make sure that is correct for all clarion units, There is another way to do it with the remote but I can't find the code. I am trying to get ahold of a friend of mine that we installed a clarion stereo/dvd in his truck. We wired a switch in it to the ground. Let me see what I can find.

yeah, i tried grounding to the ground wire from the HU , i tried grounding it to a bolt in the floor behind the shifter, and a bolt in the dash behind the HU, right now im just tapped into the ebrake, but, i might just hook up a switch. unless theres another way possible!

Try that, I talked to my friend he said he would try and find out the write up he found. He did say that not all of the Clarions will accept the codes so you may have to run the switch. I googled it and that's the most info I got on your stereo.
