Wow, you just bought the car a couple months ago and you already got more goodies than
I'll ever have in my lifetime! Very nice mods and thanks for buying an '09! I definitely
like the '09 kit but the front seemed a little funny to me. I hope you don't mind but I
borrowed your picture to see what it would look like if the bottom half was painted white.

By the way, how did you even get a 5spd S model? Did you special order it? Oahu doesn't even
have any 2009 2dr S for sale on the island, much less a 5spd! Looking forward to more in this thread :)

i really dig the front lip actually

i have the 09 s sedan and i love the lip spoilers. they follow the curves of the car pretty nicely

nice car btw
rear disc conversion and big brake kit are definitely a must!

if it was mine id throw in the miracle x brace and some brides.

im really liking what youre doin with the car man

LOL at the critiquing of my photoshop $killZ (yo!). It's a free program done with a touchpad on a laptop; I never claimed to be a professional photographer or anything like that. I'll make a special MSpaint one for you guys later.

I actually don't like center caps that much, especially in this case if I have to pay $25 each for little plastic pieces with fake carbon fiber on them.

I agree/disagree with this. I want to do the rear disc brake conversion, but for better braking, not because it looks nice.

I have actually been thinking about painting the bottom like that picture you made. I'm actually not sure how I got the 5 speed S; I lucked out and the dealer over here just happened to have one on order with the exact specs I wanted.

Next mods will probably be TRD struts and rear swaybar.

See you didn't waste any time getting started with the mods

Those Enkei's look awesome! And keep the center cap off, it gives it that nice race car look IMO

Great pics

I'll take a stab at why some people find the '09 S skirt kit looking a bit odd. The blacked to the bottom front lip treatment visually looks "incomplete" as if the front lip had broken off during a curb-car interface.

I would have customized my car the same way. Few aesthetic mods if any at all, and all the good stuff is stuffed under the bonnet and wheel arches. Great choice of a lightweight purposeful rim, as well.

Let me qualify my comments on the photo editing. If the threadstarter posted unedited photos, clearly, he does not care much about photo editing. His aim is just to show the car. But he took the effort to select and blur out the background, which shows that he was trying to achieve a certain artistic concept for his photo. And it is to this end that I advised that what he's doing doesn't really work so well.

the new S front skirt is odd because the car is round and the front clip is flat and angles at 90degrees back under the car. its a right angle on a car without sharp edges.

reminds me of my 04 matrix xrs....the flat front w/ protruding chins looks awkward when its up on stock suspension, but much more complete and proper when dropped low.

It's cool, I know what you're saying. I'll probably keep doing it anyway. I like to avoid editing the pictures if possible, but I haven't been able to get the lighting and angles I want yet.

I for one thought your original photos looked pretty cool... and gotta love the addition of Domo in that follow-up pic.

Car is looking awesome. I agree the tint will do a lot for it. I just got mine tinted and boy does it make a difference. I would suggest you debadge the rear to give it a cleaner look; I am going to do this weekend.

Are you running stock headlight bulbs?

well yea i agree too because they were made to be lightweight, it would defeat the purpose to add weight to it

thing is, i think anything bigger than a 16 inch wheel on a yaris looks tacky unless you are or have plans to run a big brake kit.

i think 16s are perfect for the size of the car, less weight and cheaper tires too

Is it dropped at all or is that the stock height? I think the whole controversy over the front lip is solved when you see the thing riding on dropped springs like god intended.

PS love the pics, I was thinking about meteorite, but now you have me thinking white!

If you look at his first photos, you can see he's riding on some Tein Springs.
