I was facing him about 200 feet away when that happened -- wild. And... this guy still pointed at and passed the end timing lights.

Micro Image forums, online store and shop are now closed. It was a great eight year run, but it was time to focus on other things. I'm still selling parts on eBay under micro*image seller ID and customers can still make requests for anything specific.

Similar thing happened here several years ago.

The person was on 2 wheels and came down HARD. They of course checked everything out and it seemed ok. Then the following season; the lugs just snapped. People guess that the metal was just internally damaged which set it up to fail from fatigue. The person, in this case, was not new and definitely torqued everything down.

The other occurrence I've heard about was someone borrowed some wheels and lugs(so the taper matched). But it turns out they were a slightly different thread, so they torqued, but mid corner the lug slid right off.
