Darn Workplace Internet Filters...!
The internet filters here at work block 90% of the pics other members post on hosting servers, so I never get to see anyone else's cars! That sucks....
I suppose I could look when I get home and actually do my job here, but what fun is that? ~YR

Nah, our security blocks anonymizers too! Sneaky little turds, huh?

Everyone should attach their pictures to the forum itself, that way no more blockage, and no worries about the photos disappearing when the free photo hosters have to clear out their harddrives :)

When you want to post photos, please click "Go Advanced", then after typing the text, roll down to "Additional Options", then use the "Manage Attachments" button to upload photos. Picture hosting is not required.

It's been WAY TOO MANY YEARS since i've posted images online (from my computer, as opposed to linking pix from internet), and when I did upload images it always auto-sized for me...

Oh friend! I want to learn this trick too! Anyone?
Actually I have something similar to a photoshop program (Microsoft Picture It). I suspect that it may be able to do the job. However, I am hardly knowledgeable/confident enough to answer your question. Sorry! Last edited by swng; 07-31-2006 at 11:43 PM. |

Just uploaded a big picture to become my small avatar. Resizing was not even necessary. The original big picture is on Page 6 of the Members' Rides Thread in the Photo-Video-Media Gallery.
I just did that for experiment. I may change my avatar later. |

Thank you very much! I have just downloaded IrfanView. I am so glad that it is a free program.
I have just found out the program's resizing options. I will spend more time to learn about this program later. Thanks again! !!!!!! |

If you happen to use Netscape 8.1 as your browser, you can right click the picture and then click "View Image". The picture will adjust its own size to fit your screen.

For Windows XP users, there is a free add in power toy called "Image Resizer".
After install (very small prog) it adds a menu item when you right click an image stored on your pc. It will allow you to resize to various sizes. As a benefit, it reduces file size without much loss of image quality. That is very handy when emailing or uploading photos, makes the task much faster for everyone. The program can be found on this page: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/d...powertoys.mspx Last edited by MWill517; 08-01-2006 at 08:17 AM. |
