Brakes

Has anyone of our friends in Japan heard about a brake swap between the Vitz and the Corola(or what ever it's called there)? I just had this thought while waiting in traffic yesterday. I looked at a newer Corola with the 5 bolt set up and the 4 wheel disc brakes...hmmm....

Im not sure what Corolla you guys have in the uS, but Australias COROLLA is the same as the JDM RUNX. They dont have 5 stud wheels, only 4 ... but yes, they all have 4 wheel discs.

Also, WHy not try getting rear discs from a JDM yaris / Echo?

undoubtly fitting corolla beakes and hubs all round woudl be very nice, but would be costly at a guess.

It would be costly initially, but since the rear discs are not standard on the Yaris here in North America, the cost of parts would be higher in the long run. Besides it would allow for a lot more options for wheels. Something aftermarket may be the way to go if there are options available soon.

Keep in mind, I'm just dreaming. I'm not going to jump on this tomorrow.
