Nissan Cube and the Kia Soul are going after the xB. It'll be interesting to see how it turns out.

I think the Cube will do well in overall sales, and with Kia's new found quality, they stand to do well. The xB just got to fat and could stand to loose some weight and gain some mpg.

agreed. the xb1 was a huge success because it was cheap, good on gas, had lots of standard features, and appeal stylistically to the youth segment.

the xb2 is nothing more than a camry wagon, imo

i think the soul and cube will do quite well in the fun and frugal segment...

It's a good time to be both "fun and frugal". With the way things are headed and with the inevitable rise is gas prices, less will soon become more.
