Tein S Tech + 205/40/17

After finding/reading several threads on springs, I've decided to pull the trigger on some Tein S Tech's. Wondering if I'll get any rub with 205/40/17's?

The official wheel and tire thread indicates the 205/40/17 is used in most lowered applications, but was hoping to have my concern alleviated by folks that are currently running this setup.

This thread seems to confirm there'd be no rubbing, but gain, confirmation from folks who have/are running these springs and wheel/tire size would be appreciated.

As an aside, if I decided to swap the struts while it's all apart, what are your recommendations on brand? Bilstein?

I ran that tire size with ag lowering springs that lowered the car -2 inches. I have a 2008 liftback if that is any correlation. I never ran into any issues, but just to be safe I bent the metal tabs that hold the plastics in the fender located at the top of the wheel arch on the front fenders

Thanks for the feedback. I bought the springs and installed them today. Super happy with the result. Gave it a good test drive and it only rubs if I hit dips too quickly. Otherwise, the ride is actually more comfortable than on the OEM springs.

Hmm. Are you running 17x7 wheels? If so, what's the offset?
