What is the dashboard covering made from?

it's not vinyl?

some sort of abs plastic i would assume...just stay away from armourall and other petrolium based products....they look shiney for a while, but they really just dry out plastic and vinyl...causing premature fading and cracking.

It's people. The Yaris dash is made out of people. They're making our cars out of people. Next thing they'll be breeding us like cattle for raw materials. You've gotta tell them. YOU'VE GOTTA TELL THEM!

try a damp cloth? wipe off the dust, and then just wipe it next time it builds up again...

Yep the best treatment for the plasitc pieces to prevent fading, bleaching and cracking is to simply wipe the dash down with a damp cloth or chamois.
Don't use any products that contain petrolium, silicone or teflon.

I have been using 'Son of a gun protectant' for 15 years on lots of different cars, Never dried or cracked a dash yet. I applied it to my yaris dash and side panels and it eliminated the annoying scratched look that is common with the plastic used on these cars. Armor All is liquid crap in a spray bottle Stay away from it.

Never tried the NXT Generation Tech, Although I am very attatched to the Gold Class wax, Quick detailer, Applicators, sponges and the very kick ass drying towel!!
