Well Ladies and gentlemen you missed a hell of a day. My god it was fun. I believe that i did the ECHO proud. The event was uneventful. The ECHO can carry more speed into the corners than I thought. Hopefully next time some more people will be able to make it out. Just so that you know My ECHO is lowered, 15" rims, rear sway bar, urathane front sway bar end links, Borla exhaust and a strurt tower brace. Oh ya it also has 228,000 km on the clock.
P.S. Loren the tire presures HOT of 38 front and 42 rear were near perfect. Thanks again |

I'll be driving in a Time Trial on the 14th. 3.2 mile track with some technical areas and some pretty fast areas as well. My car has ~-1.5` of camber and 0.0 toe in the front. Track bar, TDR springs with stiffeners and struts. Running Kumo MX 215/17. AFE intake, TDR Exhaust, SS, NST 10% underdrive crank pulley.
For AX I run mid 40psi front and high 40psi rear. Lower tends to "roll" the tire to the point the rim looks like it could be on the ground. No $ for better tires. Can anyone give me any insights of what to expect. Recommendations? |

I'm still working on July 5 but I'm not firm yet. I'm having a problem in corners. I seem to reach a point in th corner where both my tires roll and I lose the ability to turn sharper or turn faster.. The tires are not sliding. Should I increase negative camber up front or reduce toe-in or adjust tire pressure or reduce toe in the rear or all of the above. I feel I should be able to corner hard enough to slide at will.
thanks Brian |

What tire pressures are you running ?? I feel I should be able to corner hard enough to slide at will. Which end do you wish to slide ??

38psi cold all around. The grip feel fine during a 80 km/h corner but if the radius decreases the tires roll as if someone switched a switch. I have stock steel wheels with 285/60-14 bridgstones (very gripppy) a 23mm sway bar and I've replacedd the top camber bolt with a toyota 1504 and getting the most negative camber from that set up.I'm thinking more negative camber because the car still sways in corners. I'm also thinking th rear toe-in is resisting the turning.

How did you fit 285s on the front ????? Just kidding I assume its a typo. It sounds like your at the limit of the tires but without knowing the corner I can't say for sure. If you want to ballance the feel for that situation increase the back tire pressure to help loosen the back.
