Constant 12v power locks

I am going to be installing power locks on the two front doors of my 2008 sedan. It is a universal kit with remote unlock and just wondering where I should get the 12v from. I would like to put the module on drivers side panel. Thanks

Use the location on the under dash fuse panel that I show in my remote start DIY. Power locks require a significant amount of current (15+ A), so using that location works well, as it has the ability to feed up to 60A.

You can use one like that however be sure that you pick up the one with a sheath. What gauge wire did your kit come with or what gauge do you plan on using?

I just compared the wire to another i have and it looks like it is 16 gauge. So do i connect this to top pin or the bottom on the fuse panel spot that ctscott said to put it.

The top one. The bottom isn't connected to anything.
