Getting Behind head unit - how easy is it?

So I need to get a new ipod connector and i was wondering how to get behind the dash to connect it to the hu. I looked at the manual but that didn't seem to help, is it a simple thing to do?

Super easy, everthing surrounding the unit pulls right off. Start with the hazard/passenger seatbelt&airbag light trims and pull them off(from the bottom edge of the trim up) then give the head unit bezel a good pull(try not to take the AC vent too). Everything clips on, so just keep pulling and it will all let go.Lastly there are four screws holding the head unit in place.

The hazard light/seatbelt trim piece are wired, just rotate them up onto the dash board so you don't have to unplug them. Once you get it down you should be able to get that head unit out in less than a minute.

wow that really was easy. took about 5 minutes to get behind it and plug the ipod adapter in. Then took 20 minutes to find and take out all the wires the shop put in for the sub i took out. Anyone want a few feet of 8 gauge audio wire?
