adjusting the speedometer

I put 195/65/r15 tires on my yaris to make it roll better on the freeway bring the rpms down. My speedo is off about 3 mph and the local dealer said they can't adjust it. Does anyone know if they are feeding me a line or am i screwed

They are correct - The Yaris does not have any way of adjusting the speedometer other than changing the gear in the sender unit (and there are only two options - one for the 15" wheels and one for the 14" wheels).

its actually not as easy as it just being off by 3mph, its more likely off by between 3 and 5% if u cannot live with the 3mph issue, take the cover off and move the needle 3mph up on the scale. but ur slow speed measurements will be off

just curious but I think I already know the anwser. The scan gauge and ultra gauge reads off the same sensor the gauge cluster does. So my only true hope is my gps. Not a big deal just thinking out loud
